~ Happy New Year ~

Wow, another year ~ 2007 is here.  How are you all doing?  It has been very quiet and peaceful here.  I've been enjoying my family, my home and especially my fireplace.  I wish you all a wonderful, prosperous New Year.

May you all celebrate this new beginning with joy and thanksgiving to our Lord and Saviour. May He continue to richly bless you and yours and fill your hearts and homes with His presence, love, grace, mercy and abundance.

~ Whaddup ~

how are you xanga people doin’?! Yes, its been a while since I last posted but I thought’d I give you a brief update. Nothing has been going on around here but work and school. I am working on new layouts for my blogs and website, next terms lesson plans and quitting my very stressful job. But other than that its pretty quiet. Oh, I did get to volunteer at Mark Schultz’s concert a few weeks ago. That was fun because his merch dude was great. Big Daddy Weave was awesome and the new guy, Klink sounded pretty good and he was nice too. His name is David Klinkenberg but we just call him “Klink.”

Anywhoo....I hope all is well for all of you as you get ready for the holidays. Thanksgiving was quiet here and I am planning a quiet Christmas too.

Talk w/you all later.

Where have I been? ;D

Its been a very long time since I last posted and I am very sorry to those of you who keep up w/me.   Oh, but the places I have been and the things I have seen couldn't be missed for the world.

Highlights....did I hear someone ask for highlights?!  Gladly.  First, we all participated in our state fair this year, which was a blast.  We also volunteered at 3 concerts and my dh and I celebrated 15yrs of marriage.  Not bad, huh!  It has been a very busy but wonderful 4 wks and I'll try to re-cap below, so hold on its a whirlwind for sure.

Sept 23th volunteered at the Chris Tomlin concert ~ totally awesome. we got to meet the band, get our shirts and cds autographed and had a totally amazing time w/the wonderful merch dude "Gregory Mark."

Sept 28th the fair opens ~ this is the first day of an 11 day run w/the TSF (Tulsa State Fair).  I worked the fair running a booth that sold "showbags" and the kiddos volunteered for me and the supervisor of the Just for Kids bldg.  Tiring but great.

Oct 2nd still at the fair and Kutless & Disciple are the concert attractions for the evening.  Yes!  They were awesome as usual.  Enjoyed the entire show from the doorway of the Just for Kids bldg & I got paid to watch.

Oct 7th still at the fair ~ but I got to leave and volunteer at the Third Day concert ~ totally wonderful.  It was Hyperstatic Union, David Crowder Band and Third Day ~ what a night.  It was great and the merch dude "Tommy" was wonderful.

Oct 8th last night of the fair and we were exhausted.  Glad its over ~ goodbye for now.

Oct 12th volunteer dinner ~ the theme was "Survivor" it was fun and entertaining.  nice to see everyone outside of work though it was in the same bldg I had worked in for 11 straight days.   oh, well at least there was food and good company.

Oct 19th my wedding anniversary ~ dh allowed me to volunteer at the Jeremy Camp concert.  Yeah!  I had a great time.  I got to meet Jeremy and Adie (you know, his wife ~ former lead singer of Benjamin Gate) btw, she has a new cd out and she autographed my copy.   They are a very nice couple and Hawk Nelson was great too, they autographed a pic for da boy ~ he's very happy w/it too.  Later that evening, dh whisked me off to our wonderful suite at the Reniassance hotel ~ it was fabulous: feather pillows, comfy bed, large and spacious it was.  I really enjoyed it.  We even had a wonderful surprise gift ~ champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.  What a treat!  We aren't big on drinking but this was special ~ just the two of us.

Okay, thats it long, probably boring for some but thats the facts.  Simple but oh soo wonderful.  I have memories to last me a life time and I look forward to working w/all the merch guys again in the future ~ they were great.  Oops, I forgot to mention "Danny," he's the merch guy for Jeremy & Adie.

Have a great week!

PS ~ Jeremy's new cd "Beyond Measure" will be in stores Oct 31st but you can pre-order @ Mardel's and online.  Get yours and don't forget to catch these bands when they hit your city.
